Texas Lutheran University (TLU), a private college in Seguin, Texas, is known for its diverse, close-knit campus community and accessible education. TLU partnered with Cognitive Films to create a series of student and alumni profiles aimed at prospective students. The goal was to highlight personal stories that showcased the transformative power of a TLU education, supporting recruitment efforts across the university’s website, YouTube, and social media platforms.
To bring this vision to life, we collaborated with TLU to identify themes that resonated with their audience—diversity, campus culture, and post-graduation success. The series included interviews with current students on campus and alumni in their workplaces, offering a dynamic perspective on the TLU experience. Over two days, we captured interviews with students, followed by B-roll of their day-to-day lives on campus. For the alumni profiles, we filmed them in professional settings, focusing on how their TLU education paved the way for fulfilling careers.
The final series celebrated the unique appeal of TLU, weaving together stories of academic growth, community, and career readiness. The profiles became a vital component of TLU’s recruitment strategy, providing relatable, inspiring content for prospective students and their families.
For us, working with TLU was both rewarding and enjoyable. The students’ enthusiasm, alumni’s success stories, and the picturesque campus and workplace settings made for a seamless production. It was a privilege to capture the impact of TLU, both during and after the student experience.
